B/O/F/F - Vanlife Freeride Camp
Freeride weekend in a camper
As a partner of the outdoor film festival B/O/F/F, Hochfügen is the venue for the first Vanlife Freeride Camp from March 20 to 22.
The two exclusive days are all about the Hochfügen backcountry. Following the "Lift & Go" principle, the camp will take you directly from the lift into the backcountry - supplemented by ascents to selected lines. The camp is led by Manfred Brandacher "Brandy", a state-certified mountain and ski guide specializing in freeriding. The weekend will be accompanied by Andi Prielmaier, founder of the Outdoor Film Festival B/O/F/F and active ski freerider.
Arrival is on Friday, the freeride days take place on Saturday and Sunday. You will spend the night in your own camper on the campground within walking distance of the valley station of the 8-seater Jet. In the evening, the group meets around the campfire - for a barbecue and to round off an intensive day in the backcountry together. Drinks (beer and water) are provided. And every participant receives a welcome gift.
Requirements & number of participants
The number of participants is limited to six - for intensive freeride days, short distances and maximum time in the terrain. Safe skiing technique in open terrain and experience in deep snow are required. Descents in steeper terrain (approx. 35-40 degrees) should be able to be mastered in a controlled manner. Depending on the conditions, up to 500 meters of ascent with skins must be mastered per day.
Appropriate freeride or touring equipment and full safety equipment(including avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel)are required. As part of the camp, there is also the opportunity to test selected products from partners.
