Tradition lives on
Our rope race belongs to Hochfügen like winter sports belong to the Zillertal. It is simply indispensable.
We are looking forward to the 58th edition in 2024 with rope races for adults and children on the last ski day of the season, April 14, 2024. The race will be held from 9:30 a.m. on the Waidoffen 11 slope.
Keep it together is our motto: three skiers, connected by a rope, ski together through the rope race giant slalom course.
We look forward to welcoming you, your children, your families, your friends and of course many fans and spectators!
Let's enjoy the last day together with hearty music and the traditional farewell to winter. Thank you for your active participation!
Who can take part?
Anyone can take part in the Hochfügen rope race. Adult rope teams can start in the mixed 3-man race class (at least one lady per rope team) or in the "fast 3-man" class.
Children's rope teams can start in a total of three classes.

U1 MUSICIAN AFTERNOON
Radio U1 provides the musical accompaniment to the Hochfügen rope race with lots of good humor and live music. It starts at 12:00 to 13:00 with the warm-up and from 14:00 to 16:00 five music groups will entertain you.
The 6-man formation from Kössen in Tyrol impresses above all with its musical versatility and great soloists. The program ranges from the unmistakable brass band and "Viller-Spatzen-Sound" to the classic Oberkrainer sounds and big band classics as well as the current mood and party hits.
The four thoroughbred musicians, Daniel Grissemann, Armin Reichel, Christian Klingenschmid and Christoph Unterholzner, have now set themselves the goal of inspiring young and old with their music. The repertoire ranges from traditional Tyrolean music to hits and party hits.
With two Styrian harmonicas, guitar and baritone, the 4 Tyroleans guarantee a sound for young and young-at-heart dance-loving audiences, whether with songs by the legendary Schürzenjägers, popular hits or their own compositions.
Johannes Lechner, Daniel Schweigert, Rilana Tillmann and Roland Schweigert play folk music, hits, FOX oldies and party hits from rock and pop.
The two brothers from the South Tyrolean Eisack Valley bring the best atmosphere and dance entertainment to every party with their music!
SUPERVISED CHILDREN'S PROGRAM
While the adults conquer the race track, the young participants can look forward to a children's program supervised by adventure animators with face painting and a creative workshop.
The childminders from Nina's Zwergerlparadies will be on site from 11:00 to 15:00 with a supervised children's program.
An imaginative make-up face with bright colors and glitter simply enchants every child. Only dermatologically safe professional make-up paints are used. The painted faces can be easily washed off again in the evening with soap and water.
The creative workshop is just the thing for craft enthusiasts. You can create cool buttons and key rings yourself, which can be attached to your ski suits straight away.
