Outdoor Activities and Time in Nature
In addition to its hiking opportunities, Hochfügen offers selected activities for families during the summer months. At the heart of the experience is a nature-inspired adventure area that provides space for movement, playful exploration and relaxation in an alpine setting. The facilities are intentionally modest in scale and blend harmoniously into the peaceful character of the mountain pasture landscape. Easy-to-walk trails around the area invite visitors to enjoy shorter outings and make the region easily accessible for families.
A new themed trail focusing on life on the alpine pastures further enhances the experience, offering insights into the region’s alpine cultural landscape. The combination of outdoor activity, nature and a tranquil environment creates an ideal setting for spending quality time together in the mountains.
The play area in Hochfügen is being expanded for the summer season, combining physical activity, nature experiences, playful discovery and outdoor recreation.
At its heart is a play pond with a raft and an adjacent wetland biotope, inviting children to explore, discover and play. The area is complemented by nature-inspired activity features, including climbing elements, in-ground trampolines, a slackline and a mud play table. A climbing and bouldering wall, as well as a summer tubing track, provide additional opportunities for active outdoor fun.
