Hochfügen ski resort scores top marks in international tests
For years, the Hochfügen ski resort, either alone or together with our neighbouring ski resort SKi-optimal Hochzillertal, has regularly been coming out on top of international comparisons conducted by testers from independent platforms. However, not ones to rest on our laurels, we are constantly striving to further develop our ski and holiday resort in the Zillertal valley to provide our guests with even more skiing and holiday adventures.
The Skiliftgesellschaft Hochfügen ski lift company is also proud to have been awarded the Golden International Piste Quality Seal, the Snow Machine Trophy and Best Guest Information System.
International Skiarea Test 2013
The Skiliftgesellschaft Hochfügen ski lift company is also proud to have been awarded the International Piste Quality Seal (5.9 out of 6 points), the Snow Machine Trophy and the Operations Manager Trophy (Jörg Pfister) as well as prizes for the Friendliest Lift Personnel and for the Friendliest Member of Staff (Hermann Egger) from the skiarea-test rankings platform.
451 years of service
In 2012, 15 long-standing employees were honoured during a company celebration for their loyal service to the Skiliftgesellschaft Hochfügen ski lift company. The company’s management team paid tribute to the members of staff for their many years of employment, which ranged from 20 to 41 years, by handing them personalised prizes as well as gold, silver and bronze Chamber of Commerce certificates in honour of their milestones. The employees recognised have been working for the company for a total of 451 years. The staff congratulated by managing directors Hermann Wetscher, Konrad Schiestl and GF Othmar Kronthaler included the two engineers Josef Schöser and Martin Egger for 36 years of service, Operations Manager Georg Pfister for 41 years and Deputy Operations Manager Oswald Hauer for 38 years of service.
International Skiarea Test 2010
The Skiliftgesellschaft Hochfügen ski lift company was delighted to come second in the overall ranking and to score highly in the individual categories. They were awarded the International Piste Quality Seal in recognition of the high quality standards of their pistes, including piste preparation skills, safety features, ski slope signage and snow machines. The excellent organisational and operational skills of the rescue operations conducted by Hochfügen’s mountain rescue and ski patrol services were recognised by the award of the Ski Patrol Safety Trophy. The 2010 Cable Car Operator of the Year award went to Hermann Wetscher for his decades of committed service and pioneering work for the cable car industry.
