The well-run 8er Alm is situated at an altitude of 2,133 metres above sea level adjacent to the 8erJet mountain station. With a sun terrace and a magnificent 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding peaks, it is one of the most spectacular spots in Hochfügen to take a break and have a bite to eat.

The 8er Alm’s vast terrace is also the perfect place for watching live events, such as the renowned Big Mountain Hochfügen Freeride World Qualifier on the Ostwand or theHochfügen Rope Race. In addition, 8er Alm is at the heart of the action during the ORF Safety Day, which uses the site as its exhibition area. It is also popular as the venue for the weekly brunch on Sundays and the live open-air celebrations on the mountain event held as winter comes to a close in April.

Time to unwind

Our self-service restaurant is the ideal stop for anyone who would rather spend most of their day enjoying the snow on the pistes instead of taking time out for a longer sit-down meal. Serving up tasty, regional dishes and snacks, the fast service ensures you can return to the slopes in no time.

If, however, a longer, more relaxed meal in a traditional mountain hut is, in your opinion, essential for a successful day’s skiing, take a seat in the 8er Alm Pizzeria on the first floor to enjoy friendly service, a delicious pizza and a glass of whatever you’d like. For double the pleasure – Hochfügen style!
