From the ski test through to the freeriding competition and the children’s rope race, from the party bus to the international racing competition – there is something for all ages with a wide range of events throughout the season in Hochfügen. Major ski test in Hochfügen on 3 December 2016

Interested consumers can try out the winners of the European ski comparison tests and put them through their paces. All manner of ski models from all the major brands will be on test. The consumer test is independent and participation is open to all free of charge (excluding the ski pass).


FIS Snowboard European Cup, 10 – 11 December 2016

To kick off the season, Hochfügen will welcome the international Alpine snowboarding elite for two FIS races at the beginning of December. The races in Hochfügen have been an integral part of the international FIS racing calendar for many years. The runs will take place on the slope of the Lamark lift.

Freeriding courses and camps

Freeriders of all ages and abilities can choose their perfect basic and advanced training from an extensive range of courses in Hochfügen. Some of the courses are free of charge and will give you important knowledge and skills. The following courses are offered in Hochfügen: Ski-Friends powered by Dynastar, guided tours for individuals and groups, multi-day freeride camps, two-day avalanche camps, avalanche transceiver training search field presented by BMW, workshops for young people, avalanche courses for school groups, special safety days, preparatory courses for heli-skiers.


Lösch-Zwerg Schneebeben is coming to Hochfügen in January and March

The popular Lösch-Zwerg Schneebeben party buses are again stopping twice in Hochfügen this season – at the Big Mountain Hochfügen weekend of 28 – 29 January and again on 25 – 26 March. Modern and comfortable buses bring winter sports fans from all over Germany to Hochfügen’s slopes. From 2pm the Schneebeben DJs fire up the decks again for the Schneebeben Après-Snow Party. 4*FWT Big Mountain Hochfügen on 28 January 2017

The 4* FWQ Big Mountain Hochfügen, which has been a fixture of the Freeride World Tour Qualifier for seven years, is popular, respected and feared. The spectacular “Ostwand” face provides the 70 competitors from all over the world with countless opportunities to show off perfect lines and impressive jumps. The entry level is a 4-star qualifier, so only the very best qualify for Hochfügen. Spectators can look forward to a vast array of tricks, innovative and creative styles and skills at the highest level. It is scheduled to start at 8am on 28 January 2017. The competition can be comfortably and easily watched in the auditorium at the 8er Alm, without the need for binoculars.


Snowdown Hochfügen from 15 to 17 April 2017

An entertaining Easter weekend is on offer from 15 to 17 April with the Snowdown Hochfügen. With live concerts, parties, children’s parties and the traditional rope race for children and adults, it is an excellent way to celebrate the end of the season with family and friends. Guests benefit from attractive package deals for the Snowdown. The ski resort is open until 23 April 2017.


5th Children’s Rope Race on 15 April 2017

The children’s rope race is already in its fifth year and is taking place in April on the slope of the Lamark lift. Children in teams of threeup to the age of 14 can take part and win great prizes. The lively children’s party complete with fun and games and team competition around the rope race makes for an unforgettable full day of skiing. The very best competitors can then take part in the adult’s rope race two days later.


54th International Rope Race in Hochfügen on 17 April 2017

Right at the end of the season the climbing gear and ropes are fetched from the basement. Teams of three bustle around on Hochfügen’s slopes in training for the rope race. The winter season finally comes to an end with the international Hochfügen Rope Race, which has been a tradition for over 50 years. We say goodbye to winter in high spirits with music and dancing. Teams for the contest are made up of locals, friends, colleagues or random combinations of rope enthusiasts. Not forgetting the racers, who have their own racing category. For them it is all about the sought-after trophy. This hand-carved trophy would certainly grace any racer’s awards collection. While every second counts in the race category, in the three-person team class it is about having fun, enjoying winter sports and enjoying the company of friends, family and loved ones.
