Hochfügen’s high-Alpine location from 1,500 to almost 2500 metres above sea level, provides reliable snow until well into spring and allows skiers to enjoy a powder day.
Hochfügen’s powder paradise, one of Europe’s best freeriding areas, is located at the entrance to the Zillertal valley. From Hochfügen, this high-Alpine, unsecured area is just a short hike away or easily reached by cable car or lift. A number of reasons explain why Hochfügen is so popular with freeriders from all corners of the globe. Be aware that you ride on your own risk if you go outside the slopes.
Slopes of any gradient
The opportunities for off-piste skiing are incredibly diverse. Beginners, advanced and pro skiers and snowboarders always find the ideal lines for their level of ability.
Hochfügen’s location in a valley basin means the terrain is exposed in all directions, allowing freeriders to discover unspoilt slopes even days after the most recent snow fall.
Visitors to Hochfügen can reach high-Alpine, unsecured terrain conveniently by cable car or lift. From here, it’s just a short, easy hike to enjoy downhill runs of a thousand metres or more.
